As my sidekick or early age frenemy, he's been there as long as I can remember and I’m too young to remember a world without him in it. The perfect person to have as my only sibling. We met in 8th grade. Despite our rooting differences with the Packers Vikings and Iowa Iowa State, relieved we are on same page with our Cubs. His support and loyalty to me is something a lot of people aren't the recipient of, but is something I will forever cherish. It's been great to be in the same location here in Des Moines for as long as we have and hope to be close for much longer.

I think we met when we were 6. It was truly an honor to speak at his wedding as co-best man and to share the milestone of our weddings together. Besides being a Bear fan, we had quite a bit in common between our favorite sports teams, playing on same organized sports teams through high school, being picky eaters, and growing up a few blocks away. A perfect person to have as my longest friend.

Spending time with him and his family over the years is never not fun. Can always count on him to talk about random Hawkeye topics until 5 AM. We do an average to poor over the top Chad Kroeger and Scott Stapp singing impression, even though there is usually no difference between the two impressions. His presence makes him a great friend to have as he is always willing to make time to be there.

One of my longest and closest friends, 1st grade being my first memory. One of our favorite hobbies was listening to Pat Hughes and Ron Santo call Cubs games on the radio. He is one of the easiest people to converse with and gives up a large amount of his available free time to spend time with myself and our group of close friends, and is always there for us.

He may be the key reason why 6 members of this wedding party are so close as he talked us all into either going out for tennis freshman year or playing on the side. Looking back on it, playing tennis with this group was my happiest moments of high school. Even with him being all over the country in the past 5 years, I feel we are as close now as we were 20 years ago.

Our paths crossed in Cedar Rapids at Kirkwood as I saw he had a Jerry Rice jersey on. Knowing this, I had a feeling we'd have an easy time talking about sports. Even with living halfway across the country from each other since college, he does such a great job of making time with meeting up almost every year for football games and nice long phone conversations I always look forward to.
