Silver Wedding

On July 1, 1994, in the presence of God, our Family & Friends we said, "I DO!", and our journey together since has been nothing short of a roller coaster ride. We’ve experienced many highs & lows, ups & downs, and somehow always found a way to persevere and work through all the adversity! Our marriage is far from perfect, it is perfectly imperfect, a constant work in progress as we continue to learn and grow from one another. Fast forward... July 1, 2018 our 24th Wedding Anniversary, we took a weekend trip to Napa to celebrate. Our first stop "Castello di Amorosa" a stunning Tuscan Castle in the heart of Wine Country. We decided to pamper ourselves with the Royal Food & Wine Pairing Tour. Along the tour we stopped at multiple breathtaking spots for tasting, our last stop was the elegantly appointed Royal Apartment where we enjoyed a seated tasting experience. As we sat at the dinning table I had a lovely conversation with the lady next to me, I felt a tap on my shoulder, I turned to look at Calotis, he was standing with a box in his hand and proceeded to get down on one knee. Such a surreal moment. Both my hands were on my face in disbelief, tears filled my eyes & I was trembling in complete shock. The entire room of 25 strangers went quiet, Calotis proceeded to say something along the lines of, "Honey, 25 years ago I got down on one knee and asked for your hand in marriage, & here I am again, “WILL YOU MARRY ME?" I just lost it, tears of joy and pure happiness filled my heart, as I muttered, "YES!" He then placed the new engagement ring on my finger, but realized I still had the first "I DO" ring on, he removed it & placed the new one on, it was so sparkly (I remember just staring at it in complete awe!). The entire room started clapping, cheering & congratulating us - it was one of the most memorable days of my LIFE! On June 29, 2019 we are beyond excited to say, “I DO” for a 2nd time as we continue our adventures & journey as husband & wife!
