Where is the chapel located?

Answer

The chapel is located at 16221 Crystal Hills Dr, Austin, TX 78737. Once you are in the parking lot look for a sign to check in at the visitors center. It will be on the left side of the parking lot. Once at the visitors center there is small trail that leads to the Chapel (about 200 feet).

Is there parking availible at the Venue?

Answer

Yes there is plenty of parking available at the chapel. Parking can be tricky at the apartment. Guests will need to park in the overflow sections.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The chapel is a unique structure with open sections creating an outdoor space. It sits on the peak overlooking Driftwood, Texas cedar trees. The wind blows through the chapel, but it will be hot outside. Please see the dress code FAQs for tips on how to stay cool. After the ceremony we will have an pot luck after-party at our home which is air-conditioned.

Where is the reception being held?

Answer

Joseph and I have chosen to host a potluck after-party at our home to celebrate with family in friends rather than a traditional reception. Please see below FAQs for more information on the potluck.

What should I bring to the pot-luck?

Answer

Feel free to use your creative imagination and bring whatever you wish to share! Similar to other parties we have hosted in the past, be imaginative. We will provide the plates, cutlery glasses and napkins.

Will there be Alcohol?

Answer

The after-party at our home will be BYOB. You may choose your drink selection of beer, wine, or liquor to bring with you. Due to TABC laws please do not bring it with you inside the Chapel. It needs to stay in the trunk of your car in a closed unopened container. Our apartment has a very strict Alcohol policy it is only inside the unit and on our personal balcony, no where else in the community.

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Smoking is not allowed at the chapel. Our apartment has mixed smoking and non-smoking designated buildings. The building we live in is designated smoke-free. You may smoke outside the building 20 feet from the entrances. Please do not smoke on the balcony, breezeway or within 20 feet of the building. Please fully put out any burning cigarette fully and throw it away in the trash. Its a $50 fine from our apartment per cigarette if they are not thrown away and $500 for smoking in the building or near the building.

What is the dress code for our wedding?

Answer

We highly recommend wearing lighter colors such as pastels, white, tans and light greys due to the heat. For men please skip the tux overcoats. A short sleeve button down with a vest may be a nice alternative to a coat. For women we are recommending knee or calf length dresses instead of full length. There is a short walk to the chapel so please do not wear high heels that do not have a secure base.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one

Answer

We regretfully ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless it is specifically stated on the invitation. Thank you so much for understanding!

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Children are members of your family. They are welcome here. Please do let us know if they will be attending no later than July 28th.

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

I understand allergies more than anyone. If you are going to attend the potluck please bring the food with you that you feel comfortable eating. The cake will be made from watermelon and icing. It is gluten free, but it will contain dairy.

When is your RSVP deadline?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than July 28th.

I cannot make the event will there be a video recording?

Answer

We hope all our guests are able to make it, but in the event you cannot we completely understand! On the Chapel's main page the second link says "livestream/gallery." If you click on the link, it will take you to a page. You can watch the livestream from online and still be a part of the experience!

Is there any other information I need to know?

Answer

The balcony at our home cannot safely hold more than 8 people or 1500 lbs. In addition the apartment only allows us to have 2 guests at the pool per day. So we will not include the pool in the event. Please do not go in the pool area.
