Noel was ready to get serious about dating. Effie and her roommate were looking for a pastime. This led these two hopeful singles into the scary world of dating apps in Boston - a city new to the both of them. Within minutes of swiping, Effie and her roommate found themselves chuckling at Noel's bio "5'10 in heels." A quick scroll through his photos and Effie said, "Wait...he's cute!!!!" After just a few messages on the app and both sides spitting some serious game (screenshots available upon request for $$$), Noel decided to move quickly. He got Effie's digits and set up a first date at The Salty Pig. What was meant to be a quick bite turned out to be an all-day affair: a charcuterie board and drinks, a scenic walk along the Esplanade, getting completely lost, and ice cream that melted all over Effie's hands. It was perfectly them - easy, comfortable, and already feeling like home. This first date was followed by eventful years of balancing residency, career changes, and moves, all while building a life together. Along the way came unforgettable trips, cozy nights in, and the joy of meeting each other’s families and friends as their lives continued to intertwine. Noel decided to cement the importance of Boston by making the best decision of his life and proposing to Effie on May 10th, 2025 after a walk down memory lane in a few of their favorite spots in the city where they fell in love. She said YES! Since then, they’ve been counting down to celebrating their wedding with all of you on June 27th, 2026 — four years after that perfect summer day. We feel incredibly blessed to have all of you in our lives. We are endlessly grateful for the love, support, and prayers that have shaped us along the way.
