For our guests traveling, we recommend staying in the South Bay of LA: Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, or Manhattan Beach.
The ideal locations are west of Pacific Coast Highway and south of Rosecrans Avenue; if you stay in that area you won't have to touch the LA freeways. It's fairly residential, so there are more AirBnBs than hotels.
E-bikes are the most fun way of getting around the South Bay; the Strand beach path runs all the way from Torrance Beach to Marina Del Rey.
There are a few places that rent E-Bikes; Trick E-Bikes in Hermosa has good ones. The owner recommends reservations in advance for Labor Day weekend.
