Many of you have been part of our story from the very beginning - watching us grow up at Maranatha Christian Church in Wahiawa, probably knowing we'd end up here long before we did. From the 12 and 13-year-old kids who barely noticed each other, to best friends, to where we are today - you've seen it all. 2015 was when everything started to shift. What began as simple conversations after church turned into a friendship that would shape both our lives. While Noelani was secretly crushing and Josiah was completely oblivious (too busy telling her about other girls he liked), God was quietly writing our story. Through high school and into college, our friendship only got stronger. Noelani knew what she wanted, but Josiah needed some time to catch up. Anyone who knew us could see what we couldn't yet see ourselves. It took a car accident in 2017 to finally open Josiah's eyes. Even though Noelani wasn't seriously hurt, the thought of losing her changed everything. Sometimes it takes almost losing someone to realize they're the one you can't live without. We started dating in 2018, and for two years, we did the long-distance thing between Hawaii and Davis. To everyone who supported us through those FaceTime dates and airport goodbyes - thank you. Those years apart only brought us closer together. In 2023, during Noelani's first hula competition in California, Josiah got down on one knee in a vineyard garden. And now here we are, ready to start our next chapter together. Sometimes the best love stories are the simplest ones - two friends who took their time, figured things out along the way, and built something genuine together. To our family and friends who have prayed for us, supported us, and loved us through every step of this journey - we can't wait to celebrate with you.
