When should I RSVP?

Is there a room block?
Answer
Yes! If you follow the link to the doubletree marina in the travel section, you will be automatically redirected to our room block! We recommend booking your hotel stay ASAP to ensure you are part of the block. You must book your stay via the link no later than April 20th.

What should I wear to the ceremony?
Answer
Our ceremony is outdoors at 4:30 pm. Wear appropriate footwear as parts of the ceremony space will be on the grass. The theme is Art deco. Think old Hollywood. Men can wear a suit (tie optional) or a sports jacket and dress shirt. Women can wear cocktail dresses of any length or a sassy pants suit.

When should I arrive?
Answer
We recommend our out of town guests arrive no later than the 17th, or the day before the festivities begin. Local guests will likely drive in the day of but are welcome to spend the weekend with us! Be sure to reserve your hotel rooms as early as possible!

How does parking work for the ceremony?
Answer
There is parking available at the hotel for a fee. 1-3 hours = $18.00 3-6 hours = $24.00 Overnight = $35.00

Is the location ADA friendly?
Answer
There are a limited number of ADA rooms. If you need an ADA room, or a roll in shower please reach out to Charlie or Travis and we will coordinate with the hotel to ensure you get the proper accommodations.

Do I need to rent a car?
Answer
It is not necessary to rent a car as we will be spending the majority of our weekend at the hotel. If you wish to check out downtown Berkeley, Lyft and Uber are affordable options which you can use to get around and explore the city.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
May is usually the driest month of the year so we don't expect rain. However, temperatures in the bay area can be unpredictable. The temperature in May is usually between 75 and 90 degrees. Remember we will be on the waterfront where wind and lower temperatures are possible so if you tend to get cold, bring a jacket just in case.

What kind of food and drink is available on site?
Answer
The Boathouse Restaurant is open for breakfast from 6:30am-1:00pm, and for lunch and dinner from 3:30pm-11:00pm. There is a shop available that has snacks, coffee, sandwiches, pastries, and travel necessities in case you forgot anything.

Is it an open bar?
Answer
We would like this to be a memorable night for all, so we have decided to go with a cash bar. We encourage everyone to bring cash so you can tip your bartenders. There is an ATM on site.

Can I bring children or pets?
Answer
The hotel is kid friendly with an indoor pool for them to swim at so remember to bring your bathing suit. The hotel is also dog friendly - dogs are welcome for an additional fee of $75.00 per stay. While we love our furry friends, the ceremony site is pet free.

What activities are available at the hotel?
Answer
There is an indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, and modern gym. A short walk from the Hotel is a nearby park with a lovely view of the Bay bridge, Adventure playground, the berkeley yacht club, Bay charter boats, and other fun activities for you to soak up the sun and enjoy being on the Bay. San Francisco is easily accessible as well via Uber and Lyft should you want to visit any of the attractions or the golden gate bridge. Downtown Berkeley is 10 minutes from the hotel and has lots of great shops and eateries. For the outdoor enthusiast, there are multiple activities within an hour drive of the hotel.
