For horse lovers - just north of Lexington is Old Friends Thoroughbred Retirement Farm, dedicated to peacefully retiring racehorses who no longer run.
The Arboretum State Botanical Garden of Kentucky
A beautiful botanical garden featuring not only cultivated flower gardens but also miniature cultivated natural biomes of Kentucky! This is where Noble proposed to me, and holds special meaning for us.
Countdown Games
For those looking for some action, Countdown Games has multiple escape rooms to try out! Noble recommends the castle.
Joseph-Beth Booksellers
This branch of Joseph-Beth Booksellers is a lovely place to visit, especially if you're looking for books you wouldn't find in every Barnes and Noble across the country. It also has a lovely restaurant inside! The Lexington Green also features a few more restaurants and a few different stores and establishments.
Pasta Garage Italian Cafe
You'll get a taste for the Pasta Garage while at the wedding, but if you want even more, their main location can be found in eastern Lexington city.
Chocolate Holler
We met our photographer here for the first time and LOVED it. Cute little place with a very chill atmosphere, and you can get iced cocoa drinks for those who don't like coffee.
The Goose Lexington
A very nice local restaurant. Not too fancy, not too casual.

Stellar breakfast and brunch! Wild Eggs has several different locations throughout Lexington; their site can tell you which is closest to you.
Carson's Food & Drink
Note that you'll need a reservation to go here! It's pretty busy most of the time.
