How We Met

We first met while volunteering together in early 2024. At the time, Lauren was finishing her last semester of graduate school at Texas A&M, soaking up the sweet chaos of that season while preparing to launch into her new career. When she first noticed Noah, she thought he was cute, but with graduation around the corner, a relationship didn’t exactly feel convenient. Still, she couldn’t help but be curious. She asked a mutual friend, Tony, if he knew anything about him. The very first word he used to describe Noah was intentional. That single word caught Lauren’s attention and left her wanting to know more. What Lauren didn’t know was that Noah had asked some mutual friends about her too. Their response? That she was wise beyond her years and just as beautiful inside as she was on the outside. The next week, Lauren made her move. She sat down next to Noah, asked his name (even though she already knew it), and before the night ended, Noah had asked her for her number and a coffee date. That coffee date quickly turned into hours of texting and voice memos, and Noah soon realized he couldn’t wait any longer. A few days later, he asked her out to dinner. They talked until the restaurant closed, then found a late-night coffee shop where the conversation kept going. From that very first date, it was clear, conversation and laughter would never run out between the two of them. From there, they shared a bond that quickly grew into love. From navigating long-distance seasons, to Noah helping Lauren move three times (a true saint!), to late-night ice cream runs and road trips filled with laughter, they quickly learned that life together was never dull. Noah’s intentionality, kindness, deep care for others, and wholehearted love won Lauren over, while Lauren’s beauty, wisdom, passion, sense of justice, and joy made Noah fall deeply in love. After more than a year of dating, Noah planned the sweetest and dreamiest surprise engagement at the Dallas Arboretum. With the help of friends and family, the day was filled with thoughtful details, from a dress Lauren had been eyeing, to a girls’ day with her closest friends. It all led to the Arboretum’s Secret Garden, where Noah was waiting to pop the big question. Surrounded by the people who had supported their story from the very beginning, Lauren said yes. The past few years have been a season we’ve cherished beyond words. We have felt deeply loved and supported by our family, friends, and community. Most of all, we have seen God’s goodness and kindness poured out over our relationship. Our greatest desire is that our marriage reflects Christ’s heart, extending the same compassion and dignity to others that He so freely gives to everyone!! We cannot wait to celebrate with each and every one of you on February 21st a day we know will be filled with love, joy, laughter, and the best celebration yet!
