Check the travel tab. If you have any questions please reach out to Taylor or Noah, both are seasoned cruisers and can help.
The cost depends on when you book, the type of room, how many people are in a room, etc. The price you will see on Royal Caribbeans website initially is the price per person for an inside stateroom with double occupancy, and it does include all taxes and fees. As you go through and pick your room, the price may change. I would recommend booking sooner rather then later as the price typically increases as it gets closer to sailing.
We would like everyone to RSVP by October 31. We know that is early, but we worry the cruise may sell out if you wait longer to book. We also know from experience that the price usually goes up as it gets closer to the sailing date, so we want you to get the best rate. We also need to know our final count for the package that we choose for the ceremony. Once you have booked please send your reservation number to Taylor (717-991-9672) or Noah (717-782-1401)
The dinner nights range in attire and include casual, formal, white, Caribbean, and 70's theme nights. They mostly just don't want people in jeans or shorts in the dining room, so anything besides that is fine. We like to dress up, but you don't need to go crazy. There are 2 formal nights and people do get dressed up for that, but if you don't want to you don't have to!
The cruise will include all food (except specialty dining, which we have never tried. The main dining room we have been pleased with in the past), basic beverages (water, coffee, tea, lemonade, fruit punch, juice), and entertainment. The costs that are not covered under the cruise fare include parking at the cruise port ($30/day, $210 for the week) and gratuities ($18 per guest per day) which you will need to pay. Optional things you may want are one of the beverage packages (alcohol/non-alcohol/soda) or the internet (cost fluctuates for both). Shore excursions for any of the ports are also not included. Nassau and Port Canaveral both have plenty of shore excursions that vary in price that you may be interested in booking.
CocoCay is an awesome private island. If you have the internet or beverage package they will also be available at the private island. One thing that sticks out with CocoCay versus other private islands is the complimentary food options on the island. They have a burger bar, tacos, chicken, etc. at the main food place, but they also have food trucks that offer mozzarella sticks, funnel cakes, and other good stuff. Oh, I forgot to mention, there is soft serve ice cream on both CocoCay and on the ship available to you whenever! If you are adventurous we would recommend getting a snorkel mask on Amazon and bringing it on the island. They are relatively cheap on Amazon versus having to rent one on the island. We have seen some beautiful fish in the past as well as some stingrays. For those of you who don't want to be stuck in the sun all day all chairs and umbrellas are free to use. There is also a huge pool (largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean) that you can go to that has a swim-up bar if the ocean isn't your thing. After the ceremony, the day is yours to enjoy it how you would like, and we really hope you love it as much as we do! Although we would love to spend every waking moment with you all, we also want you to have the freedom to do what you would like while on the ship. After all, this is a vacation for you too! We hope that we can get a section in the main dining room to sit everyone near each other so we can see you all at dinner. We picked the 7:30 dining time so that everyone would have enough time to enjoy their day and get ready for dinner. Please make sure to pick the 7:30 dining time when booking so that we can try to get seated together. Also, after you book if you could share your reservation number with Taylor or Noah that would be great so we can call to get our dinners linked together.
Shows should pop up on the cruise planner 30-60 days before the cruise. You have to check the cruise planner and they will eventually pop up and you will select your time. Keep in mind dinner will be at 7:30 PM so try not to book any shows during dinner time. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis so we would recommend getting there early as they will allow walk-in's several minutes before the show starts. We would recommend not missing Hairspray and Hiro, as they were fantastic. But all of the shows are top quality and we would recommend making an effort to attend as many as possible as we promise you will enjoy them. If you give Taylor or Noah your reservation number, they should be able to also book your shows with them if you would like and to save you the hassle.
There are SO many food options!! Some are complementary and some you have to pay extra for. We really have had good experiences with the complementary dining so we will share some of our favorites below. Windjammer Café- this is the main buffet for breakfast and lunch. They also have dinner but we typically go to the main dining room. They have pretty much everything you could ask for here. Main Dining Room- Sit-down dinners with 3-course meals. Even though it is not a buffet, you may order as much as you wish (we sure have), and it's a great way to try new things. The main dining room is also open for a sit-down breakfast and lunch each day. Solarium Bistro- located in the Solarium is this hidden gem that offers basically the same things as the Windjammer Café but is in a smaller less busy environment. We liked to go here for breakfast, but they are also open for lunch, and you can make a reservation for dinner. Park Café- good breakfast and lunch spot with deli sandwiches and made-to-order salads. Located in Central Park El Loco Fresh- Great lunch spot by the pools and outdoor activities that offer Mexican foods such as tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Vitality Café- near the Gym and offers smoothies and specialty coffee (included in drink package) and also healthy snacks. Café Promenade- Good late-night spot when most other places are closed. They have good chocolate chip cookies, snacks, and sandwiches. Located in the Promenade Sorrento’s- In the Promenade, this is the place to get that pre-dinner or late-night slice of pizza. Johnny Rockets- On the Boardwalk, their breakfast is complimentary and they have different offerings from the other breakfast spots. Lunch and dinner are an extra charge. Dog House- On the Boardwalk, offers all types of hot dogs. Also don't forget to get your soft-serve ice cream all day long on the pool deck!
