Alongside her talent and devotion toward teaching and inspiring young minds, she is passionate about fitness, competitive swimming, cooking, party games, murder mysteries, German Shepherds, and anything on, in, or near the water.

Noah is Talia’s funny and slightly melodramatic groom. He’s spent most of his life moving around the country before moving back to Michigan, where he met his beloved in their sophomore year at MSU. Noah’s foremost passion is the skies; as a glider pilot and an overall aviation enthusiast. He’s also a sci-fi/fantasy and history nerd, gamer, and avid reader/writer.

Maid of Honor
Stephanie is Talia’s best friend a mainstay of our lives, going back to 2018. Having cut their teeth in the trenches of MSU’s education program, they have gone on to be neighbors, (temporary) roommates, and commiserators on the trials and tribulations of teaching.
Anthony D’Alessandro
Best Man
Anthony and Noah have been thick as thieves for over 12 years, having met in high school in Florida in 2013. He has exercised great patience and restraint to tolerate Noah for that long. From high school antics to paying for shots across the planet, it’s a friendship that knows no boundaries. Amis sans Frontieres, one might say ;-)

Middle brother and on equal planes of academic and cultural interests, Alek is a go-to for love and support near and far. He holds the distinction of being the only family member that can parse Noah’s rambling about geographic information systems. Noah owes much of his love of science fiction and fantasy tales to him, and Noah knows no other nature lover so compassionate for our world.

Eldest of the Brothers Bussell, Jake has been a source of comfort, advice, and support both in good times and bad. His service in the Coast Guard and Noah’s time as a civilian DoD employee has fostered a mutual passion for the value of service, and a touchstone on Noah’s love of military history.

Brother-in-law-to-be, who is caring of and [very] tolerant of Noah’s eccentricities. His care, support, and inside jokery with Talia is virtually unmatched, and he has always been someone Noah looks up to as a friend and family member. Whether it’s putting up with Noah knocking his hats off or being a trusty cycling partner on Mackinac, the Nois-Gabis bond holds strong.
