Introduce Yourself And Tell Us How You Know The Groom - I'm one of the last remaining members of the California fellowship. - I first met Noah in the fall of 2019 in a transfer group at Vanguard. Fast forward a few years, a few roommates, a few apartments, and I had convinced Noah to go to church with me where I had been working for a couple years. At the time, I was trying to start a young adults community with my friend and coworker, Jillian. We started with some small game nights and other things, but one game night there was this girl who had made a Lord of the Rings reference at the table. I’m not sure if Noah had picked up on it, but I instantly was convinced her and Noah had to get connected. From there on I got to see the relationship take off and grow, culminating in this wedding. What Do You Do For A Living? - Currently I work at a church, I’m studying through my Masters in Divinity. For fun, I work some more, and enjoy playing hockey, pickleball, video games, and reading. What's Your Favorite Memory With The Bride & Groom? - With both Soph & Noah- making burgers and watching the girls’ favorite Barbie movies. - With Mr. Stecker- it’s a toss up from late nights in the Comm lab at Vanguard, destroying our roommates at Super Smash Bros, and a very late night in Burbank. Introduce Yourself and tell us how you know the Bride. - I’m Grace! I am from and live in Seattle. I met the bride to be in college at PLNU. We were roommates senior year! What do you do for a living and for fun? - I work in fine dining and also substitute teaching. Like Soph, I hope to have my own elementary school class next year! For fun, I go on walks, watch movies, read, journal, and spend time w my cat. What are your most memorable moment with the bride/groom or both? - It was so hard to choose one moment that is the most memorable with Soph but it would have to be the day we truly became friends in the forever kind of way. We were killing time before seeing a scary clown movie and we planned our future lives in Anthropology. It was so silly and random and I knew I wanted Soph in my life forever. (Even if she steals my cups that I am drinking from !!) What’s your favorite movie/book quote? - Like Sophia, I love and ingest so many books and movies but will have to go with a Winnie the Pooh quote: “I always get to where I'm going by walking away from where I've been.”

What do you do for a living and for fun? - I write emergency plans on how my county willrespond to and protect people from large scale disaster at Will County Emergency Management, the 4th largest county in Illinois. For fun I love to hang out with my perfect 1 year old red headed son and wife! What are your most memorable moments with the groom? - High school singing group, senior year. We've spent nearly every day together for 4 or 5 years straight throughout high school and after. Yes, that means I've spent more time with him than the future Mrs. Stecker. I was here first! 😉 One of my favorite memories is the road trip we took from Illinois to California to move Noah to school. It was one of the best times of my life! What do you do for a living and for fun? - Like Sophia, I just finished my credential program and will be an elementary teacher next year! I love to watch movies, read, journal, and write! What’s your most memorable moment with the bride? - It’s hard to pick just one moment with Soph because we’ve had years of silly memories, but one of my favorites was when we roomed together junior year. Sophia’s bed was slightly lofted and I had the pleasure of watching her run and jump into bed every night which was hilarious. Introduce Yourself and tell us how you know the Bride/groom. - I’m Lauren from Walla Walla, WA and I met Sophia our freshman year of college at Point Loma Nazarene. We became closest through the Point Loma Singers choir and our nightly walk and talks around campus. Sophia was a major help in combatting homesickness and I knew I could always count on her for a good laugh. We’ve stayed in touch since then (taking turns visiting each other) and I’m so blessed to have her in my life! 💞 2. What do you do for a living and for fun? - I recently returned from living a year in Germany and am now working as a financial aid counselor! In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, watching Survivor, making Youtube videos, hiking, and spending time with friends. 😄 What are your most memorable moment with the bride? - There’s so many to choose from, but one is so funny, I’ll never forget. We rented electric scooters in college and to save money, decided to ride on one scooter together. We were headed down to Sophia’s dorm, which is at the bottom of a hill. The scooter was flying so fast down this hill, that I jumped off scared and sent Soph literally flying off the scooter. Amazingly, she didn’t get too hurt and we laughed so hard about how I just abandoned ship while the scooter was headed 45 mph down a hill. 😂 What’s your favorite movie/book quote? - “Life moves pretty fast. What’s your most memorable moment with the groom? - Most memorable moment with Noah has to be staying up late countless times to either play video games or board games. Top moment was when we stayed up until around 2am just learning the board game we bought, only to end up going to bed by 3am because it was too complicated. 1. My name is Cambria Peterson and I am unbelievably excited for Sophia and Noah to get married! I have known Sophia since we were in high school drama together. We bonded over not knowing how to dance, loving books, and making each other laugh a lot. After we met, Sophia and I were basically inseparable, spending weekends together eating soup and cake and watching movies that made us laugh and/or cry. 2. As on June 2024, I have finished on year of my MSW program at the University of Denver. I am working towards becoming an LCSW. I am someone who loves to read and if I could do it professionally, I would do it in an instant. I love to read anything and everything, except boring things I guess. 3. When Sophia and I were first friends, we were in choir together and decided to room together for our trip to Boston. We didn’t know each other super well, but we had become pretty fast friends. On the very first night of being in Boston, I woke up in the middle of the night to Sophia running out of the bed and into the bathroom. Shortly after, I could hear her throwing up into the toilet. I didn’t want her back in the same bed I was in, so we worked together to make her a makeshift bed right next to the bathroom using a chair and an ottoman in the hotel room. Something about this first chaotic experience together solidified our friendship right off the bat.
