Travel

There's plenty of places to stay nearby that will have easy access to the venue. Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette are good options for the suburbs. If you're staying in the city, Evanston is accessible via Purple Line (though be aware that it doesn't run into the city on weekends, so you'd have to take the Red to the Purple on Saturday). Uber is also relatively painless. We will also have a shuttle running between the DoubleTree Skokie and the venues on both Friday and Saturday. Even if you're not staying at the DoubleTree, you are welcome to park your car in their parking lot and hop on the shuttle. If you choose to drive to the venues: the Unitarian Church on Friday has a parking lot, and there's street/cheap garage parking near the Woman's Club for Saturday. See here: https://www.cityofevanston.org/residents/parking.

Hotel

DoubleTree by Hilton in Skokie

9599 Skokie Boulevard
Skokie, IL 60077

There's a limited block of rooms available at the DoubleTree Skokie at a discounted rate ($189). Use the link below (click "View") or call 1-800-222-TREE and mention that you're attending the Parikh/Rocklin wedding, and as long as rooms are still available, you should be able to reserve one in the block. There will also be shuttle service from the Double Tree to the wedding events. Guests who are staying elsewhere can also park for free at the Double Tree and use the shuttle.

Discount Code - Mention the Parikh/Rocklin wedding if you call

Hotel

Residence Inn Chicago Wilmette/Skokie

3205 Old Glenview Road
Wilmette, IL 60091

Another nearby hotel that we'd recommend, The Residence Inn is about a 15-20 minute drive away from the wedding venue.

Hotel

Hilton Orrington/Evanston

1710 Orrington Avenue
Evanston, IL 60201

Basically right across the Saturday venue and a six minute drive to the Friday venue. Pricier, but nice if you're trying to go to bed immediately.

Travel Note

Should you rent a car?

Between Uber, public transit, and the shuttle, we don't think it's necessary. But depending on where you're staying (like if you're in Skokie not at the DoubleTree, or in Wilmette), it may be easier to have a car, especially if you have kids or just want more control of when to arrive/leave. If you're in the city, splitting an Uber with a few people to Evanston is not too expensive, and you don't have to worry about parking. IDK! Depends on where you're staying and what your goals are. Let us know if you have questions and we can help.

Shuttle

Wait, tell me more about this shuttle?

October 17, 2025 9:15 am

A shuttle will be going to and from the DoubleTree Hilton Hotel in Skokie on both Friday and Saturday. You DON'T have to be staying at the hotel to take the shuttle, and the hotel has free parking, so this is a good option if you have a car, but don't want to find parking. The shuttle will leave from the DoubleTree parking lot to go to The Unitarian Church at 9:10 on Friday and pick up guests to take them back to the DoubleTree at 3:30. The shuttle will leave from the DoubleTree parking lot to go to The Woman's Club at 1:55pm on Saturday and pick up guests to take them back to the DoubleTree at 9:30 and 11:30.
