We met during the spring of our freshman year at Colgate University. It was a Friday afternoon, and our school’s annual Spring Party Weekend was just kicking off with free food and t-shirts on Whitnall Field. Rachel was sitting in the grass with her friends when Noah joined the group, and we quickly started talking. Over the next year, we became great friends, discovering that we could talk for hours without time feeling like it was passing at all. We officially started dating in the fall of our junior year when we kissed on Willow Path—which, according to Colgate lore, guarantees that a couple will get married. Guess we proved them right!
