We kindly ask that guests wear formal attire. For gentlemen, suits or tuxedos are appropriate. For the ladies, floor-length gowns or elegant cocktail dresses.
While we love kids, our wedding is adults only (18+) with the exception of members of the wedding party. Please use this as an opportunity to enjoy a fun night out without the responsibility of children!
Unless your formal invitation states your guest's name/plus one, we kindly ask that you do not bring additional guests.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. We recommend arriving by 3:30pm as the church doors will be closed prior to the ceremony start.
If you are staying at the Hilton downtown where we have a room block reserved, we highly recommend walking as the hotel, church and reception venue are all within a 6-8minute walk. If you do drive: For the ceremony, First United Methodist Church does have a parking lot. For the reception, we have reserved and prepaid for the lot at 168 N Upper St, which is across the street from the reception venue, until 11pm. If you park in any other downtown lot, you may be required to pay. Please be advised you cannot leave your car overnight in either lot
