FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’re keeping things pretty relaxed for our wedding. Think light and breezy – we are manifesting warm, sunny weather, so summer vibes are the goal! ☀️ No full suits or tuxedos needed, but we're hoping for clean, polished summer outfits. A nice button-up with some lightweight slacks or a flowy summer dress will do the trick. While we want you to feel comfortable, we also want everyone to look beautiful & confident in our photos - Dress to impress, but make sure you can still bust a move on the dance floor! White and dusty blue are preferably reserved for members of the wedding party.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive around 4:30 to allow for an opportunity to mingle and get seated. The ceremony will begin at 5:00.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the lawn along the bank of Sagamore Creek. Plan to dress accordingly (light jacket or wrap if a breezy day; cool clothing and sunglasses if hot & sunny; etc.)

Question

Will the ceremony & reception be in the same location?

Answer

Yes! Both will be held at the Waterfront at the Elks - 500 Jones Ave., Portsmouth, NH - the ceremony will be outside on the lawn (weather permitting) with cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony. Cocktail hour, dinner, and reception will be held inside the function hall.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will have been noted on your Save the Date and when you RSVP.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We’ve elected to invite only a select few children from our close families to be in the wedding party. We encourage all other parents to take this opportunity for a fun night out to yourselves! If not having your little ones with you is a hurdle for attending, please feel free to reach out to us directly so we can discuss it further!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Your love and well-wishes are the most important gifts of all! If you would like to contribute in another way, we have a few monetary gift funds on our Zola registry to help us as we plan for our future together, as well as a physical gift registry if preferred at https://www.amazon.com/wedding/share/noahandmeghan2026 We would also be thrilled with a recipe card of your favorite recipe, a gift card to your favorite local restaurant (near S. NH), or a copy of your favorite board game to try out!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please do! Our caterer has been wonderful to work with so far, and we are happy to take any dietary restrictions to them to figure out a good alternative for you - we don’t want anyone going hungry or feeling unwell! There should be a spot for these restrictions on the RSVP as well, but feel free to reach out directly if you’d like to discuss or elaborate further.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony/reception venue has a relatively large parking lot. However, we recommend leaving your car behind at the hotel if you are staying over and taking an uber/lyft/etc. to ensure there’s enough space and no DUIs to be had!
