Marie decided to go to early Mass at the Cathedral (she normally attends a different parish). Little did she know that Noah would be there. After making subtle eye contact during Mass, Marie decided she would try to leave quickly so she wouldn't have to talk to this cute man. Noah decided to chase after the stunning brunette! He stopped her right there in the Church parking lot. He hit her with the greatest pickup line this side of the Mississippi, "Excuse me...I think you teach my niece." Marie, in fact, did not teach his niece. After some small talk, Noah welcomed her to Lexington (he was too nervous to realize she was rather familiar with the city). He then said he would be happy to show her around the city (He can't take a hint). He asked for her number and she said she would put it in his phone. Noah then felt his pockets and was like shoooooooot I don't have my phone on me I'll have to put my number in yours (SHE TEXTED ME FIRST!) A few weeks later Noah asked Marie on a coffee date.

On February 25th, 2026, their 15-month anniversary, Noah got down on one knee and asked for this Texan's hand in marriage. Marie said yes, twice! Noah chose to propose outside The Cathedral of Christ the King, back where it all began. Christ was centered right between them during that special moment, and it's where they strive to keep Him throughout their relationship.
