Originally we met at a football game our freshman year of college. We each came with a small group of friends, with one person from each group recognizing each other. Our groups met and sat next to each other, but we only learned each other's names that night. In January of 2018, we met at Azusa Pacific's swing dance club and quickly became friends. We soon began seeing each other outside of the club and began dating in March of 2018. He asked me to be his girlfriend in April of that year. We have been falling in love ever since.
It was a Sunday afternoon and Noah and I had just come back from church. It was our year and a half anniversary and Noah had a surprise for me. He encouraged me to dress up and set homework aside for the day to celebrate. He took me to The Huntington in Pasadena, California and we explored the lush gardens and gorgeous flowers. On our last trip to a garden, a year ago that day, we celebrated six wonderful months together. He took me to a gazebo off of the main trail and gave me a photo album he had made of pictures from our relationship. After we reminisced on various Disneyland trips, much needed get-a-ways, visits to the beach, and school breaks spent in California and Colorado he got down on one knee and proposed. Noah asked my sister and maid of honor, Katie, to take our engagement pictures afterwards.
Our plans for getting married at Tapestry House on December 22, 2020 have had to change due to tightened COVID regulations. However, we have waited long enough to get married and have decided to elope in a private ceremony on this day. We will be hosting a celebration and reception at Tapestry House in La Porte, Colorado on December 21, 2021.
