This historic neighborhood has lots of shops and eateries between Central Parkway and Liberty Street, in addition to Findlay Market, the oldest public market in the city. Our wedding venue is in OTR too!
Walk along the Ohio River in Smale Riverfront Park or the connecting Sawyer Point and International Friendship Parks. Visit the beautiful Eden Park, which also houses the Krohn Conservatory! Or hang out in Washington Park in OTR. Look at the "Downtown Parks" section of the website.
This is more than a grocery store. If you rent a car, go visit this wacky grocery store that is 200,000 square feet of shopping space with over 180,000 products. More importantly, you'll see the over the top decorations and animatronics.
Visit any of the art museums downtown: The Contemporary Arts Center, the Taft Museum of Art, 21c Art Museum in the 21c Hotel, or the Cincinnati Art Museum in Eden Park. You can also view the dozens of public art murals completed by ArtWorks! Visit their website for more details.
Look for these pig statues around town. They were first displayed as part of Cincinnati public art events that honored Cincinnati's Porkopolis (pork packing industry) heritage. One of Jordyn's favorite things in Cincinnati. We recommend you look for Puckchop outside of the Heritage Bank Center, Hamlet at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, Phantom of Slopera at Aronoff Center, Security/Conductor outside Pure Romance, the German Beer Heritage pig (Porkundstein) at the 6th ST entrance to the Duke Energy Center (go up the steps to the second level), Lucius Quinctus Pigasus in Swayer Point Park, and the pig plane statue in CVG.
Visit Rhinegeist Brewery off of Elm, Traft's Ale House off of Race, Moerlein Lager House by the river, Samuel Adams Cincinnati Taproom off of Logan, Braxton Brewing Company's rooftop in Covington, KY or any of the other breweries in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky! We also recommend Butcher & Barrel, Japps, Copper & Flame, and Pennifold's Pub: A Quidditch Bar if you are looking for bars.
First, there are Cincinnati classics: Cincinnati chili (we are a Skyline Chili family), LaRosa's Pizza, Montgomery Inn BBQ, Greater's Ice Cream, and goetta (sausage with oats that you can find at most places for breakfast). Our recommendations for lunch and dinner include Bakersfield, Taqueria Mercado, Gomez Salsa Cantina, Pho Lang Thang, Taglio OTR pizza, wings at KnockBack Nats, Sotto for fancier Italian, The Eagle, Aladdin's Eatery + Lounge, Izzy's for a corned beef sandwich, Raya's Lebanese Restaurant, and our favorite restaurant, Adeep India in Clifton (we get it delivered via EatStreet, but go on up to Clifton/UC's campus if you're driving around)! Recommend First Watch, Sleepy Bee, Sugar 'n Spice, and Maplewood for brunch. Coffee Emporium and blaCk Coffee are favorites as well!
