It all began at our local church, at the time Influencers Church, now called Futures Church. The place that would become the heart of our story. After youth camp one summer, I found out that Noah was interested in me. I still remember how surprised (and nervous!) I felt when I first heard that. Our first date was on a random Tuesday morning, August 7th, 2018. I had the day free from college, and Noah, who was working at a car wash called Mister, had the day off too. We met at a cute little coffee shop in Atlanta called Chrome Yellow. I was so excited, and a little jittery… This was not just from the coffee, but from meeting someone who I had no idea would be my fiancé! We talked for hours, completely lost in conversation, until we realized we hadn’t eaten anything all day. Laughing about it, we decided to grab Chick-fil-A together, which made the date even more relaxed and fun. Later that day, we met up with some friends at the Mall of Georgia and spent the rest of the evening hanging out, talking and laughing, and simply enjoying being together. When Noah dropped me off that night, I remember thinking, this feels different. After that day, we started seeing each other every chance we got — most weekends and even some weekdays. Since we were both youth leaders at church, we’d often end up serving side by side, which made our friendship and connection grow even stronger. Looking back, it’s amazing how something that started so simply as a coffee date on a random Tuesday became the beginning of the most beautiful part of our lives.
