We met in College and Noah tried his hardest to talk to me, but I just wasn’t giving him the time of day. He would try talking to me in class and even snapchatted me over break saying he was going to come swim in my pool…weirdo. After his persistent attempts, he finally got me to make a bet with him. We were in the same night class and he asked me what time I think the professor will let us out. We each gave our times and then he said if I win, I get to take you out for coffee… Long story short, I guess he won because here I am 4 years later sharing his coffee addiction and getting engaged to him.
We finally took a much needed vacation to the Dominican Republic to celebrate four years of being with each other. It just felt so nice to get away, just the two of us, and relax on a beach without any responsibilities. Noah was insistent on taking pictures on a nice morning down at the beach. I didn’t think too much of it, as I wanted nice vacation pictures of us as well. Noah and I have talked about marriage a lot leading up to this moment so I was hoping this would be his perfect opportunity. We were both a little nervous when we got to the beach because we were posing in front of a propped up camera and naturally felt like people were watching us. Then, Noah had me stand alone for pictures and told me to do some poses, one of them being to turn around and poof my hair up. It wasn’t until I was turning half way back around that I realized what he was doing…he looked like a little kid smiling from ear to ear, but also so nervous he could only utter out the four words. Exactly what I was hoping for and more. It truly was such a great trip.
