FAQs

Question

Where do I need to go and at what time?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony no later than 11:30 to account for parking and seating. The ceremony will start promptly at noon. Parking will be located across the street at Peters Parking Deck. A parking attendant will show you where to go! The reception starts at 2:30. In the break time between, feel free to take your time travelling to the venue and explore the area! Refreshments will be available at the reception venue from 1:30-2:30.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Unfortunately, Georgia state parks do not allow alcohol on the premises. We will have plenty of other non-alcoholic beverages available though!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to venue size restrictions, we can not accommodate any party not already listed on your invitation.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Out of respect for the sacred nature of the wedding ceremony and the church, we ask that guests wear their Sunday best - think button-downs, modest sundresses, that sort of thing. Feel free to bring a change of clothes for the reception if you'd like to go exploring or play on the playground outside the shelter :)

Question

I've never been to a Catholic church. What should I expect?

Answer

The Catholic wedding service will be very ritualistic, it will have times of prayer, readings, and a homily. The Priest, Fr. Branson, is very good at explaining what to do during the service. Additionally, this ceremony is the "Liturgy of the Word" only; therefore, we will not be having communion at our wedding.
