Yes, there are flushing toilets. However, there are just a couple public showers in the thermal pool area. But, also many of the cabins have showers so, make friends with people in cabins! Yes, there is a restaurant with limited (but yummy) menu options and a small snack shop. No, you cannot buy groceries there. Camping means, tent camping (not glamping).
Yes, pretty much any car can get to the venue. However, once you leave the highway, the 6 miles of dirt road are slow, narrow and windy. Drive carefully.
Awesome! We have a good amount of camping gear available to borrow. Just connect with our camping gear coordinators: Josh Williams (208.401.6592) and/or Tyler Hopper (208.484.4916)
Yes! We will be setting up an area with mirrors, a few toiletries, hair curlers, dryers, etc. Wanna make sure you can look as jazzy as you desire!
Absolutely! We totally understand that some of you won't be able to join us for the entire weekend. Whatever time you can spare, we will take! We can't wait to see you. Just prepare for the travel time - it's about two hours from Boise.
The venue is about 100 miles from Boise and takes about two hours. It is a windy, slow highway followed by a 6 miles dirt road trek. Leave yourself plenty of time and take it easy, we want you to show up safely! Note: in the evening and early morning hours, be aware and look for wild life on the highway!
Connect with Andrija (208.949.6328) or Noah (907.315.2335) and we can help guide you!
Yes! You can book an RV spot which has full amenities. The lodge website is currently down but, let us know and we will help you out.
While, of course, temperatures are always changing (climate change anyone...) average high in June is 70 + degrees and the lows will be around 30-40 degrees. Please keep in mind, that the elevation is 5,000 feet which means chillier evenings and mornings.
Totally! If you are interested in carpooling (either riding or driving) and it would work for your travel plans please fill out this handy form by June 2 and Lael will help match you up! Zola won't let me link this doc so, you may need to copy and paste into your browser: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdkMc0rq8gQjh77TrlDAM09osi4cPcbg4oGRpAMoPp0Aozppg/viewform
Of course! There are not a lot of options however, we suggest checking out the Sourdough Lodge (about 20-30 minutes away). Here is the website: https://sdlhosp.com/
There is no public wifi at the lodge. Cell service is intermittent. We will have a couple of satellite communicators for emergency use.
We recommend our guests fly in sometime Thursday or early Friday. We recommend our guests fly home Sunday evening or some time Monday. Basically, leave yourselves plenty of time to get where you need to get, safely.
Great question! There are so many cool things to do in Boise. We would suggest staying downtown if you are able. For a funky stay: The Modern Hotel; for a budget stay: Red Lion Downtown; for a swanky stay: The SPARROW Hotel - for group stays Airbnb in the Hyde Park area or up on the Bench.
Nope! Jumping in a carpool or renting a car is the way to go.
This is a topic to note. 1) The Sawtooth Lodge has a restaurant with yummy but, limited menu options. They will be open during the weekend.; 2) If you want to bring food to prep, you are welcome to! If you don't have a camping stove, someone will be happy to share the use of their stove; 3) We will be providing muffins and such Saturday morning before the run/hike; 4) We will provide dinner on Saturday; 5) We recommend bringing plenty of snacks!
Our goal is not to exclude your kids but, more to give you an opportunity to take a break and spend a carefree weekend in the woods! We hope you understand.
We are already pushing the limits of the space. Invites are for those listed on your RSVP. Thank you!
We thought you'd never ask! We want guests to BE the wedding decor. haha. But, really, let's bring color and pizazz to Sawtooth Lodge. Bright colors encouraged. Funky accessories and shoes? Yes, please! Interpret as you wish.
