We both attended the same high school and although Noah was just a year ahead of me, we still casually knew each other through mutual friends but we never had come across an opportunity to officially meet. Apparently while we were in school Noah had a secretive crush and truthfully, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t find him attractive at the time. Many times, we would both glance over at each other as we passed in the halls but he was always too nervous to make a move because for one, he didn’t think he would have ever had a chance and secondly, we were both dating different people at the time so that put a bit of a damper on it. It was not until one random turn of events years later that we happened to meet. There was a small get-together of friends at his and his brother Dillon’s house one night. I did not know any of them, but a friend of mine was invited to attend through another friend of Noah’s- I know it’s confusing, just hang in there. She insisted that I go with her even though I had plans of staying home that evening. So anyways, I showed up to the house with my friend and we had a great time but that’s still not even when we met. That night, Noah was out celebrating the birthday of another friend of his, so he wasn’t even there the entire evening until the very end when I was leaving. My friend and I were leaving their house just as Noah was walking up to the driveway. We only shared a brief hello with a few words exchanged as we were heading out to our car and Noah was heading inside the house. It was not until the next day that I followed him on social media out of curiosity and he messaged me shortly after. From there we causally chatted over the next few days, and I may have turned down a date or two before Noah’s persistence finally got to me and I finally agreed to a date. Now, here we are 4 years later tying the knot!
