We're Getting Married!

Noah and I have known who the other was since highschool but didn’t connect until a couple of years later (2017). We started out as friends, but after just a few times of hanging out I knew we had a connection and I could see it going further. However, my patience was tested in having faith in God’s timing because it took Noah quite awhile longer to realize the same. But on July 4th, 2019 Noah proposed: I was not expecting it on that day at all. We rode back into the mountians to Heart Lake with Silas, Bailey Jo, and Sawyer (all of them knowing it was the day). Before we hit the trail, Noah told me to throw whatever I needed into his backpack and I was struggling to find room for my stuff so I was unzipping and zipping all the pockets unaware of what was about to happen. Meanwhile, Bailey Jo and Si were standing off to the side about to have heart attack because they knew the ring was in there. But Noah must’ve hidden it pretty well because I didn’t see it. It was a gorgeous day and the lake was soo beautiful (see our pictures) and Noah was determined to help me catch a fish, so right when we got up there Noah took me down to the lake and on my first cast, I caught a fish🙌🏼 I got a few “whoops” from the other campers around the lake and Silas came over to take pictures of me and the catch of the day. Then Noah goes: “well you better cast another one”. So I turn around to cast another one and as I’m reeling my line back in, I hear “Alexia Anne Willekes....” behind me and that’s when I knew it was happening. I turned around and sure enough, there he was on one knee, and the few “whoops” from other campers turned into many “whoops”. After a couple of “oh my goodnesses” I finally said yes and the rest is history.. We both know we were brought together by God alone♥️
