How We Met: My junior year of high school, I attended an athlete training session with Xplosive Edge. I first noticed and talked to Noah one evening when we were taking group pictures. It was after workouts so as we were shuffling out of a room all sweaty Noah made a sarcastic comment to me about how great he looked for those pictures. I was caught off guard by this cute boy that I naturally responded with, "yeah, you must have broke the camera"... *geez*... because they actually had difficulties with the camera. Noah laughed. Following that evening, we got to know one another better which wasn't difficult because this charming boy would wait to walk me to my car every evening- he even began parking next to me. I looked forward to the days I got to see this blue eyed, blonde hair guy who was quickly sweeping me off my feet. When the 2 month training session was coming to an end, Noah asked me out on a double date. It apparently went so well that he later asked me to dinner and a movie. On December 28, 2012, the sweaty cute boy that I only knew by the last name on his t-shirt a month ago asked to kiss me- I said not until he was my boyfriend. That was the first night I got to kiss my future husband. How He Asked: It involves a beach, a sunset, and my better half- need I say more?! We were in Florida with his parents for family vacation. On July 19, the typical afternoon storm cleared the beach of everyone. Noah asked me if I wanted to walk on the beach. Completely oblivious to his plans but ecstatic to collect seashells right after a storm, we were walking on the beach in no time. Hand-in-hand, my sweet Noah began telling me how he loved our relationship, etc. and that he had a question for me. With the sun setting along the beach and a rainbow in the distance, Noah asked me to be his wife. It was the easiest Yes I've ever said.
I met Amanda when I was 16 years old. We were part of a conditioning program for athletes called X-Edge. She caught my eye early on, for obvious reasons. She was beautiful, athletic and an incredibly hard worker. I began to look forward to every M, T, TH, F. One evening the trainers requested a group picture, I wisely positioned myself to be near her in the photo. The trainers requested another photo. Alas! My opportunity! “Well, they just can NOT get enough pictures of my beautiful face!” to which she replies, “Yeah right, you’re probably the one that broke the camera.” And just like that the deal was sealed. I walked her out that evening. From then on, you could find my car parked next to the big blue suburban. I would walk her out every evening and have pleasant conversations. At this point I knew several things: she is beautiful, funny and kind and her parents clearly didn't teach her enough about stranger danger as she was comfortable walking through a dark parking lot with the stranger who parks next to her each day. Eventually we went on a date had a wonderful time and have ever since. Two weeks into the relationship I informed several friends that I was officially in a relationship with the girl I was going marry. Bold words for a sophomore in high school, but when you meet such an amazing girl you’d have to be a fool to let go. Fast forward 4.5 years- Amanda and I return to the condo that we were staying in for the week in Florida with my parents. We had gone out to stock up for our fishing trip the next day that she thought was given her for 21st bday. I asked her to go for a walk on the beach with me since it stormed. We were the only two on the beach, when we had walked a long ways I got down on one knee, pulled out the ring box with shaking hands and asked the most beautiful girl in the world to be my wife.
