June 3rd we were wed next to a creek, in the woods in Packwood, surrounded by nothing but forest, A couple witnesses, Spirit and each other. We stood with our vows and were able to deeply feel into our choosing. We wanted to be fully present during our ceremony and only have to think about what each of us wanted to get out of the day and each other. I am so grateful for that decision as we both were able to tap into our vulnerability and really use this day as a threshold experience and rest into the arms of our beloved. Jaymes is my Husband! I really love saying that. I am his Wife, and he reminds me every day how much that means to him. We are elated to celebrate with you. Rain or shine, outside as planned, or inside watching a potential thunderstorm...either way...we dance!
We started our deep connection on the rocks of a canyon at SOAK, a Portland regional Burning Man festival in May of 2016. We ended up being a part of the same camp and both were there early to set up. Repeated eye contact and playful gestures began the friendship that became something so much more. After setting up we both decided to go on an adventure and climbed up to the edge of the rock line so we could look at our camp accomplishments from above. We unknowingly dove into the depths of philosophy, human connection concepts and our very different perceptions that started to expand our understanding of the heart of each other. As he left early from the festival, we couldn’t really take our eyes off each other. We were both not at a place to pursue a relationship at the time, but we knew we had found such a special connection and vowed to stay in touch and visit each other and continue our learning through friendship. As he left, he couldn’t help but blurt out from the window of his fancy maxima with Versace sunglasses “ you’re so f***ing cute,” which immediately kept me beaming for some time. A few weeks later he came up to visit and we ended up on Owens Beach in Tacoma walking the waterfront and It felt like we had always known each other. We ended up going on a “waterfront challenge accidental first date” where we ended up in Seattle with a bottle of wine, hopping to as many waterfronts as we could before he sunset and then we ended up on the ferris wheel taking selfies and cracking up. We knew we were possibly in trouble as could see fire in our eyes. We didn’t end up officially dating until November of that year, but we continued to explore friendship and practices and possibilities of who we were were and what was meant to unfold and this is where we were led to. The most perfect love match we have had the honor to experience.
