We first crossed paths in high school back in 2017, though neither of us could have imagined where life would eventually lead. In March 2021, we reconnected through Tinder and quickly discovered something truly special. Our first date was at Fiesta En Jalisco, which remains one of our favorite date-night spots today. From endless drives and shared playlists to building a home together, we soon became inseparable. Along the way, we welcomed two beloved cats into our lives; there was Gordo, whose memory we will always cherish, and Gus, who keeps us laughing every day.

When it came time to propose, Preston had the perfect plan during a trip to Washington. There was just one small problem, he accidentally left the ring nearly 500 miles away in Montana. With his original plan no longer possible, he had to wait for the next perfect moment. That opportunity finally came during a trip to Florida for his aunt’s wedding. After racing to the beach to catch the very last moments of the sunset, Preston got down on one knee and asked the question he already knew the answer to. Of course, Niya said yes! And now, our journey has led us to the most meaningful and unforgettable day of our lives: our wedding day! We cannot wait to celebrate this next chapter with you and see all that the future has in store for us.
