Richard and Amanda met while working together at All Town Pizza in Glenolden, PA. Neither thought much of it. But not even two short months after they began working together, they knew they had something special they had to explore! They kept it casual for a while and just got to know each other outside of their work environment. Amanda knew she found her match when he would laugh at her jokes from across the room and even she didn't think they were that funny.

Richard planned for a month how to pull off the perfect surprise. Everyone, including her daughter Julianne, knew except for her. The perfect opportunity came on July 3rd, 2022, at a family and friends' barbecue. Their friends began to play Bruno Mars "I Think I Wanna Marry You" as Richard emerged with a bouquet of Amanda's favorite flowers (carnations, in case you were wondering.) As he got down on one knee, with the ring box perfectly nestled amidst the flowers, Amanda did what she always does well. She makes jokes in unknown situations. After everyone got a few laughs, Richard finally mustered up the courage to utter those four words Amanda was longing to hear. And the rest was history.
