Question

Is the wedding still happening? No more postponements?

Answer

Yes! We will be getting married on June 5, 2021! This is a long time coming and we couldn't be more excited. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.

Question

Where will the wedding be?

Answer

In the yard of Niven's childhood home - 161 St. John's Road, Ridgefield, CT. Please join us for a real-life "Father of the Bride" moment - minus the hot dog buns.

Question

So...can you tell me what your COVID safety plans are?

Answer

We will be taking measures to ensure the safety of all guests. COVID risk and transmission are greatly reduced once you are vaccinated or if you still have active antibodies. Therefore, we are asking that all guests only RSVP 'will attend' if you already have your vaccine, are efforting a vaccine, or have active antibodies. We recognize that your eligibility varies by state, so we'll reach out closer to the date to find out your status. This information will not be shared with anyone, we will be using it to help us make some of the wedding day decisions (ex. seating arrangements, social distancing measures, masks, etc.) We will be conducting temperature checks on-site as you arrive. There will also be masks available for everyone, as well as hand sanitizer at every table. All vendors will be wearing masks and we are working closely with the caterer to make sure all food is properly handled. The safety of everyone attending is our number one priority so thank you for understanding.

Question

What if I don't intend to get the vaccine by the wedding date, nor do I have active antibodies?

Answer

At this time, we kindly ask that you attend the wedding virtually. We are still in a pandemic and are trying to take every precaution we can to keep everyone safe. Even with these measures in place there will still be people who are at greater risk of COVID even after receiving the vaccine. While we are saddened we cannot celebrate with you in person, we look forward to a time when we can do so in the future.

Question

How many people will be attending?

Answer

In an effort to keep the wedding as safe as possible, we had to make the very tough decision to reduce the guest list by half given the current state of the pandemic. There are around 90 people that we’ve asked to join in person.

Question

What if I'm still not comfortable attending in person?

Answer

We completely understand, but we'd still love to see you! There will be a virtual option for anyone who wants to celebrate with us remotely. Plus, we'll be doing a toast after...so have your champagne chilled!

Question

Ok. Where can I find the virtual option?

Answer

We'll send out the Zoom link via email closer to the wedding date.

Question

Will there be parking at the house on Saturday?

Answer

No. We will have two shuttle options to transport you to/from either the hotel or the local lot. To/from Hotel Zero Degrees in Norwalk (about 25 minutes away from the house). And to/from Jesse Lee Church in downtown Ridgefield (about 10 minutes away from the house). Pick-up & departure times will be communicated with all guests closer to the wedding date. Masks will be mandatory on the shuttles.

Question

What is the dress code for Saturday?

Answer

Festive formal. Meaning: formal but with a little more flair to embrace the spring/summer season. That could mean wearing a fun color, a bright tie, or rocking some floral. The wedding will take place outdoors, so plan footwear accordingly.

Question

Got it. What else should I know?

Answer

We love you. We're excited to celebrate this day with you. And we better see you out on that dance floor.

For all the days along the way
