Flight

Fly into Portland, Oregon

For guests coming from outside the PNW, we recommend flying into Portland International Airport (PDX), which is about a 50–60 minute drive from Skamania Lodge. From the airport, the drive into the Columbia River Gorge is straightforward and scenic. Rental cars and rideshares are available at PDX.

Travel Note

Traveling from Seattle

Guests traveling from Seattle may choose to drive or take the Amtrak Cascades to Portland. Driving takes approximately 3.5–4+ hours, depending on traffic, and becomes especially scenic as you reach the Columbia River Gorge. For a more relaxed option, Amtrak Cascades offers multiple daily departures from Seattle’s King Street Station to Portland Union Station (about 3.5–4 hours). From Portland, it’s a 50-60 minute drive to Skamania Lodge through the Columbia River Gorge. Rental cars and rideshares are available in Portland.
