What should I wear?

Answer

South Asian traditional clothing is the widely popular attire for this event; however, non-South Asian formal party wear is also acceptable.

What will the weather be like on the day of the wedding reception?

Answer

Generally, wintertime in California is nice and warm in the daytime, but can get chilly in the evening (50 degrees Fahrenheit on average). Jackets are recommended for the evening.

Will the event be held indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The event will be held all indoors.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

It is recommended that you stay in Irvine nearby to the venue. Hotel rooms will be blocked at the Courtyard by Marriot at Irvine Spectrum. Please see the Travel tab for more information.

Will there be food and drinks at the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will a multiple course dinner served to guests, buffet style.

Will there be dinner served to fit my diet? Or should I eat before I come to the event?

Answer

Yes, halal food will be served. Meat, vegetarian, and seafood options will be available. For specific accommodations, please contact the bride and groom.

Is transportation being provided to and from the wedding? Or should I bring my own car?

Answer

The bride and groom will be busy the day of the event. It is recommended to bring your car. There is abundant free parking space available at the venue. Shuttle service is also available in the city of Irvine from where the hotel is near Irvine Spectrum. Train transportation is also in operation in the city of Irvine. Yes, but please let the bride and groom know beforehand.

How and when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can by at least 2 weeks before the event. You can RSVP on this website on the RSVP tab.

Please ask the bride and groom directly.

Is there a ceremony?

Answer

No, the ceremony was held on December 31st, 2021 at the Al Ansar Masjid in Anaheim.

When does the reception begin and end?

Answer

It begins at 5 PM and ends at 10 PM on December 30, 2023.

Where should I sit during the event?

Answer

Name cards will be at each table at the event. Furthermore, a seating chart will be posted near the entrance of the event.

What can I share on social media at the event?

Answer

Anything that is approved by the bride and groom. Ask the bride and groom before posting anything.

What else can I do when I'm not needed at the event?

Answer

Socialize with others. Meet the families of the bride and groom.

What type of food and beverages will be served during the reception?

Answer

Halal South-Asian food will be served buffet style and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. A beverage station with coffee, tea, and soft drinks will be available.

I cannot attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

There will be a live virtual screening of the event. The link to the virtual event will be provided a few days before the event.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in the city of the venue or nearby?

Answer

What types of gifts are okay to bring for the bride and groom?

Answer

The bride and groom live outside of the state where the reception is being held. Please do not bring boxed gifts. Cash gifts are acceptable. Please also check the registry on this website for funds the bride and groom desire.

What is the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

If you're arriving by car, taking the 91 freeway is the best way. The 5 freeway is a toll highway and is not recommended. For other transportation methods, see the Travel tab on this website.

Question

Where should the guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There is abundant parking at the venue and parking is free at the community center.
