See you in Thailand!

After only 12 short years, we finally decided it was time to stop making everyone ask, “So… when’s the wedding?” It all began in 2013 when Mick met Nisa through a mutual friend at San José State University. We were only freshman when we first met, but from the moment Mick laid eyes on Nisa, he knew she was the one. It took a couple months of persistence, trolling her in the dining commons, spending most nights in Joe West instead of the Bricks, and a boat ride in the SF bay before we finally became official. Over the next decade, we grew up together. We navigated the challenges of long distance and practicing being a solo dog parent while grad school took Mick all the way to New York. We learned how to make cross-country flights, late-night phone calls, and countdowns until the next visit part of our normal routine. Even with thousands of miles between us, we never lost sight of what mattered most: building a life together. Over the years we have spent our time doing what we love most: traveling, finding new foods to obsess over, spending time with our friends and family, & of course giving the best life to our two fur babies, Kyrie and Kane. After twelve years of adventures, we FINALLY got engaged in 2024. At this point, many people have joked that we’ve essentially been married already. But now, after more than a decade together, we’re excited to make it official and celebrate our love with all of the family and friends who have supported us throughout this journey. Thank you for sticking with us—we know you’ve been waiting almost as long as we have. We can’t wait to celebrate with you in Thailand, and we hope to see you all there!
