FAQs

Question

What about airline flights?

Answer

It’s time to book them! We looked into group pricing at it is actually more expensive. Guests are all over the board so odds are there will be someone from the guest list traveling with you! Once your flights are purchased please send the flight information to michaelswedding2020@aol.com so we know when to expect you! People who have already booked their flights, make sure you watch your emails. Flights have been getting changed and canceled.

Question

Customs and Immigration to Mexico

Answer

Mexico has changed their immigration forms to expedite entry into the country. That means everyone, each person, needs to fill out the form online and print it before their flight. They do not hand them out on the plane anymore. https://www.mexicotouristcard.com/ Customs forms will be handed out on the plane and they are one per household. THERE IS ALSO A COVID-19 FORM This form is done on the same website as the immigration forms.

Question

Just a helpful tip, BRING YOUR OWN GOLF BALLS!

Answer

I know this sounds silly but anyone wanting to golf on their trip should pack golf balls! They are ridiculously expensive at the courses and there is really no where else to purchase them. If you don’t want to pay to rent clubs, you can “rent” them for free from the Sports Desk at the resort. You will also need to bring a collard shirt.

Question

Do I need to bring towels?

Answer

NO! Don’t waste valuable room in your luggage. You can rent a towel from the Sports Desk. Any time you want a clean new towel, just exchange it! Yes that means 20 times a day if you want!

Question

Do I need to carry cash?

Answer

It is recommended that you bring some spending cash but while on the resort it is not needed. Anything you purchase at the resort will be charged to your room key. At the end of your stay you will pay your bill. You can either pay your bill with cash or credit card, just remember foreign transaction fees.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

YES! Everyone traveling outside the country does need a valid passport. The cost of your passport will depend on what kind of passport you are getting. It will cost more the closer it gets to your travel dates because there are rush fees. If you already have a passport, take a look at the expiration date. Mexico requires your passport to be valid at least 6 months past your return date. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/apply-renew-passport.html

Question

I have RSVPED, now what?

Answer

GREAT! We can’t wait to celebrate with you! Your next step is to think about how long you want to stay and where you want to stay. The bride and groom will be staying all week and everyone is welcome to keep the party going with them. But there are some people who have to cut the party short and return to work. There are many great hotels along the Cancun Hotel Zone strip. If you chose to stay at a different hotel being in the “Hotel Zone” is our recommendation. Those that are staying at the host hotel should contact Daryl through email at Michaelswedding2020@aol.com For hotel accommodations.
