A modern love story, Nirek and Lahin met on a dating app in 2021 in Boston, MA. Over drinks, they quickly realized that they had much more in common than they initially thought: they both grew up mere miles apart in southeast Michigan and somehow were both moving across the country to San Fransisco in the coming months. Since then, they've grown together and shared so many adventures along the way: Nirek's gone to his first Michelin star restaurants and learned what a tannin is (he thinks), while Lahin has learned to snowboard and also learned that multi-pitching isn't for her (she thinks). They've fit into each other's families like a missing puzzle piece, and that was most clear on the day Nirek proposed. After an unassuming morning at a Sonoma winery, they were killing time before treating Nirek's sister and cousin to the best Indian food in SF. But unbeknownst to Lahin, her and Nirek's parents flew across the country to surprise her, and after an anxious couple moments, the time finally came: Nirek got on one knee and asked if she'd be his teammate for the rest of their days, and she said yes!
