Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes - the wedding is black tie optional. Please come in your favorite long dress, jumpsuit, suit, or tux! Our wedding party will be sporting tuxedos and dark green dresses. Casual attire for both the welcome reception and farewell brunch!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Please arrive at 6 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

While there are a ~few~ street spots available, we STRONGLY encourage guests to come via Uber/Lyft. Drivers can be pretty bad late on NYE and the cops will be out in full force!

Where should I stay?

Answer

There are a plethora of hotels and AirBnbs in the Downtown Portland/Pearl District area. We suggest staying there, which is close to the venue, or just on the other side of the river in Southeast (where Emilie grew up!). Some options we've stayed at and liked are: - Residence Inn by Marriott Portland Downtown/Pearl District (closets to venue, <1 mile) - Moxy Portland Downtown (likely cheapest option, cool vibe and excellent bar) - The Nines (this is where we'll be staying - about 1.5 miles from the venue) Feel free to reach out with any questions or to get more suggestions!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We will have an informal welcome reception for folks in town Saturday night (12/30) after the rehearsal dinner. We will also be congregating for a late brunch on Monday after everyone has (hopefully) slept off the alcohol from the night before. Drinks - Hopworks Brewing 2944 SE Powell Blvd, 12/30 around 8-10pm Brunch - The Nines Hotel, 6th floor, 1/1 around 9-11am

Anything else I should know?

Answer

We ~strongly~ suggest sleeping in late or having an afternoon nap as the party itself will go past midnight. Cocktail hour will begin at 7 PM so we also recommend eating a late lunch or afternoon snack!
