Shenandoah National Park
While our wedding is nestled between the mountains, there are extraordinary views from the top! There are what feels like infinite hikes stemming from the Valley. While this list is not all-encompassing, it's a great start and ranked by intensity.
Luray Caverns
Located ~1 hour from Winchester, Luray Caverns is where Nirali fostered an immense interest in sciences. Even with countless trips under her belt, she is always in awe of the Cathedral Room, Mirror Dream Lake, "Fried Eggs", and Great Stalacpipe Organ (the world's largest instrument by Guinness World Records)! It is the largest cavern system in the eastern US.
Old Town Winchester
With over 250 years of history and architecture, Old Town Winchester is full of shops, restaurants, cafes, libations (countless breweries), and charm. Our go-tos are: 50/50 Taphouse, Alestian Brewing Company, Water Street Kitchen, Snow White Grill, and Union Jack Pub (housed in a Victorian cast iron Union bank building). Check out the pedestrian mall for all of the above & more!
