When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by 15th September 2025. Because we are booking accommodation for everyone, we need to know numbers in advance 😊

Are children allowed?

Answer

Absolutely! Bring your kiddos along. They'll have a wonderful time watching all the animals :)

Are there any dangerous animals inside Marloth Park?

Answer

There aren't any lions, elephants, hippos etc, so it's safe to walk around Marloth Park. There are most likely leopards (but these animals are very shy and secretive so it's unlikely to encounter one). We went for an early morning trail run on the dirt roads and paths, and saw many other people cycling, jogging, walking etc. Animals you will encounter: Giraffe, warthog, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, impala, duiker, bushbuck, baboons, vervet monkeys, hushbabies, mongoose, geckos and various bird species.

What time should we arrive to the ceremony on the 20th of October?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3:30pm, so please arrive at 3pm so we can ensure an on-time start 😊

Wedding dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal Cocktail Attire: Women: Wear cocktail dresses, long dresses (colour theme is autumn colors, so copper, sage green, neutrals, rusty reds etc). Men: Button up shirts, light/dark jackets and chinos. Mix of paving, gravel and decking, so ladies - wedges, chunky heels or flats are the way to go :)

What is the weather like?

Answer

October is change of season, from the dry winter to the rainy summer. There might be short afternoon thunder showers, but it'll be warm during the day (31 degrees C) and dropping to around 17 degrees C in the evening.

What do I need to pack/bring?

Answer

Binoculars, cameras, hats, sunblock, sunglasses, mosquito repellant, swimsuits, clothes for the hot daytime, as well as warmer items for the chilly evenings. Pack a raincoat/umbrella just in case. Dont forget your snazzy outfits for the wedding day 😉 South Africans: Remember your ID, as you get a discounted rate for entering Kruger National Park (if you are planning on going in).

What time will the reception end?

Let's be real, Nino and I are 10pm bedtime kind of people 😂 But you're welcome to stay at the venue until midnight (those of you who are staying at the Lodge are welcome to kuier longer if you wish!)

Can we buy food/groceries inside Marloth Park?

Answer

YES! There's a Spar grocery store, as well as a smaller convenience store. Pop me a WhatsApp (+13854824772) and I can send you photos of the items for sale in the grocery store (yes, I took photos of every aisle when I was there 😂). There's also a butcher and a bottle store. (I have photos of both as well haha)
