Nina and Steve met on Bumble in the Fall of 2016. After they matched it was an excruciating 24 hours for Steve when the opening message from Nina never came. As the clock ticked nearer and nearer the 24 hour mark which would result in the expiration of their connection, Steve knew he had to take matters into his own hands and used his one and only extension to give Nina another 24 hours to say hello. Luckily for Steve, Nina started their conversation and after speaking with each other for a few days, Steve asked Nina on a first date - dinner at Pomodoro.

The typical first date jitters were hardly there at all as they had an instant connection and chemistry, wrapping up their excellent date with a high five over how great they both felt it went. They both knew they had met someone very special that night and were excited to see what the future would hold.

The years quickly flew by, Nina and Steve grew closer and closer, adopting their amazing cat Ruby, moving in together, renovating two houses, and loving their life together. Steve knew he had found the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. After picking up the ring after work on a Tuesday at the end of March Steve still had no clue how or when he was going to propose. By Thursday, he knew he couldn't wait any longer and that today was going to be the day. Nina was upstairs when Steve got home from work that day giving Steve the perfect opportunity to retrieve the ring from its hiding place. He waited in the kitchen for Nina to come downstairs and in a further sign that it was meant to happen then and there, Ruby joined in by jumping up to her perch atop Steve's shoulders. Nina came into the kitchen and gave Steve and Ruby a big hug, and when she turned around to grab something from the counter Steve seized his opportunity. Nina turned back around to find Steve down on one knee holding the ring and asking her to marry him. After many "OMG's", "WHAT IS HAPPENING's", and "IS THIS REAL's" as well as making Steve get down on his knee with the ring again because she loved it so much, Nina said yes! Nina and Steve are so excited to start their life together as husband and wife!
