Why Portugal?

We got engaged in Portugal and it is one of the most gorgeous countries we’ve seen. We thought should we get married here? We wanted to provide an opportunity to give our family and friends the experience of a lifetime. 💍🤍 Portugal will always held a special place in our story and from the beginning it felt like more than just a beautiful destination. There was a sense of ease, warmth, and connection that stayed with us long after we left. Beyond that, Portugal felt like the right place for the people we love most. It’s incredibly family-friendly, accessible, safe, welcoming across generations, and naturally designed for slowing down and being together. With our families getting older and our lives getting busier, we wanted this weekend to feel like more than a wedding. We wanted it to feel like a celebration & reunion. Set along the cliffs of the Algarve, Portugal offers a rare mix of beauty, comfort, and fun. It’s a place where mornings are relaxed, meals stretch into long conversations, and everyone, from the youngest to the oldest, can truly enjoy themselves. Bringing our families together here felt meaningful, joyful, and very us.

Our Love Story

We met in Philadelphia at the very end of 2021 through our real estate world and a shared mutual friends. Our official meeting happened at an Eagles tailgate, although Robin swears we had met before and I just don’t remember. What we do agree on is that he made the first move, got my number, and told the mutual friends he texted me and I never replied. It turns out he had texted the wrong number, which is very on brand for him! Once that part was cleared up, everything else fell into place. What stood out early was Robin’s loyalty, his deep love for his family, and the way he always tries to do the right thing. Somewhere between long conversations and many amazing meals that always seemed to last longer than planned, I knew this was someone I wanted to build a life with and raise a family alongside. The moment it all really clicked came at his cousin’s wedding in Tulum, Mexico. Seeing how he showed up for me, how close he is with his family, and how warmly they welcomed me gave me a clear flash forward of our future together. We are opposites in many ways but deeply aligned where it matters most. Now we live together in Fitler Square with our dog, Dewey, sharing a life centered around family, good food, and the everyday moments that make it all feel full and real. What started as a Philly introduction turned into something steady and lasting, and we cannot wait to celebrate what comes next with the people we love.
