Travel Note
We recommend staying in Calca the night of the wedding for the convenience of not taking a taxi back to Cusco the same night. In Calca, there are a variety of lodging options on Airbnb as well as hotels. We recommend booking your lodging accommodations well in advance given that this is a smaller town with a finite amount of lodging options available. However, if you find that no lodging options are available at the time of your booking, there are nearby towns a short taxi ride away with more options.

This will be the easiest option and costs $30-$40 and will take a little under an hour. A taxi can be hailed from nearly any street in Cusco.
Travel Note
For the more seasoned traveler looking to travel from Cusco to Calca on the cheap there are shared vans that can be taken. Location: For colectivos to Calca, head to the Estacion de Buses Urubamba y Calca, located near Puputi Street in Cusco. Finding the Colectivo: Look for minibuses with signs indicating "Calca" or ask any local for guidance. The community is very helpful to visitors. Timing: Colectivos start running early and continue until the early evening, departing as soon as they fill up. We recommend setting off in the morning for the smoothest journey. Duration: The trip to Calca takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Along the way, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the Andean landscape and the Urubamba River. Arrival in Calca: Upon reaching Calca, a brief walk or taxi ride will get you to your lodging or CasaRaiz for the wedding.
