Like many modern love stories, ours started with a swipe. We matched on Hinge sometime in the haze of summer, but it wasn’t until a few weeks later that we reconnected through Instagram. Our first real conversation? Books. From there, our conversations flowed easily—curious, honest, and filled with the kind of connection that made us want to keep talking. By early August, we were both hoping to meet in person, but life had other plans. The next few months were a whirlwind—family visits, school, work—until Josh mentioned his aunt and uncle were coming from England in October, and that they were all heading to Charleston for a family vacation. On a whim (and with a lot of trust), he invited Nina to come along. She agreed, with one very reasonable condition: we had to meet in person first. Spoiler: that never happened. So the very first time we met in real life, we climbed into a car together and drove three hours to Charleston… to spend the weekend with his entire family. And somehow, it felt completely right. From road trip chats to family dinners, everything just clicked. That weekend turned into countless more, and now we’re here—grateful for the journey, grounded in love, and so excited for everything that’s still to come.
