Nina and Gary met in June of the summer of 2021 at D’Jais in Belmar, New Jersey. (Yes, they did fall in love at the Jersey Shore.) From the very beginning, everything felt easy. They both felt incredibly lucky to have found each other and quickly bonded over shared goals, similar hobbies, and the same vision for the future. There was no hesitation or uncertainty, they just knew. As their relationship grew, so did their appreciation for how perfectly their lives seemed to align. With Nina being from West Caldwell, New Jersey, and Gary being born and raised in Staten Island, New York, they soon discovered something that felt like pure fate. St. Aloysius Parish in West Caldwell, Nina’s childhood parish and a place filled with meaningful early memories, is also where Gary’s parents were married 30 years ago. It is the very same church where Nina and Gary will be saying “I do,” making their wedding day feel incredibly full-circle. On April 27, 2025, Gary proposed on Long Beach Island, bringing their love story back to where it all began, down the shore. With the ocean nearby and the place that started it all as their backdrop, it was the perfect way to begin their next chapter. To honor the season where their story started, Nina and Gary are choosing to celebrate their marriage on Labor Day weekend. They can’t wait to celebrate their forever with the people they love most.
