Every love story has a beginning, and Nina and Christian’s started with a little secret most people don’t know… they matched on Hinge. It was September 2022. Christian was attending St. Thomas University on a baseball scholarship, while Nina was at FIU earning her degree in Digital Marketing. After a little research (of course!), Nina discovered they had friends in common, felt safe enough to start talking to him, and before long, something special began. That December, Nina texted Christian that she was going to Corbett’s—and coincidentally, so was he. Once Christian realized he was actually going to meet Nina for the first time, he decided he was definitely not dressed for the occasion and made his friends turn the car around so he could go home and change. Apparently, the outfit change was worth it. They met that night and immediately hit it off. Shortly after, Nina left to travel with her brother as he headed abroad to study. While she was away, Nina and Christian FaceTimed every day. The conversations came easily, the laughs were endless, and their connection grew so quickly that it scared them both just a little. But some things are simply meant to be. As their relationship grew, so did they. Christian graduated and began pursuing his dream of becoming an officer with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Nina graduated from FIU and finally followed the dream she’d had since childhood—beauty school. In 2024, their love faced its biggest test when Christian left for FWC training in Havana, Florida. Nearly 11 months apart wasn’t easy, but the distance made one thing very clear: neither of them wanted to do life without the other. While Christian worked toward his dream, Nina graduated from beauty school and began building hers. In October 2025, Christian officially graduated as an FWC officer and was thankfully stationed back home in Miami-Dade County. Then, on May 8, 2026, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Turks and Caicos, Christian asked Nina to spend forever with him. Of course, she said yes!!!! Today, Christian is living the career he worked so hard for, Nina has fulfilled another lifelong dream with Nina G Hair, and together they’re preparing for their greatest adventure yet—becoming husband and wife, surrounded by the people they love most. Turns out, sometimes you really can find your forever person with just one little swipe.
