If you are not staying at the venue, there will be a shuttle service nearby to take you up into the redwoods. Parking to shuttle to the event will be at St. Peter & St. Paul Orthodox Church, located at 9980 Highway 9, Ben Lomond, CA. The first shuttle to the venue will depart at 1:15 p.m. and the last shuttle will depart at 2:15 p.m. There is no parking available at the venue unless you are staying at the lodge, so make sure you arrive in time to catch the shuttle up, otherwise you won't be able to access the wedding venue. To be safe, plan to arrive at 1:00 p.m. so you won't miss it! Parking will be in the south parking lot; there will be signs to guide you. Enjoy the scenic drive through the redwoods!
After booking your stay with Waterfall Lodge, you will be sent details on how and where to park based on your cabin selection. If you are staying with us at Waterfall, please make sure to allow plenty of time to arrive for your check-in time before the ceremony. It's a windy mountain road that requires some slow driving and can be a bit tricky to navigate.
The shuttles will start leaving the venue around 9:30pm.
Semi-Formal: Wear what you feel best in and what makes you feel like dancing! Vintage, thrifted, and spring colors are encouraged (refrain from black)! A warm layer and conservative heels (due to terrain) are suggested.
For couples, both people are included in the invitation, otherwise there are no plus ones.
We'll be serving up a Thai Food Buffet from the local Santa Cruz restaurant Sawasdee! Curries, veggie dishes, and noodle dishes will all be available. All food onsite will be 100% plant-based, and there will be gluten-free dishes available.
There is so much to do! Henry Cowell Redwoods Park and Big Basin State Park are both within a half hour of the venue. Both of these parks offer classic, ginormous Coastal Redwood trees that tower into the sky. Carmel-by-the-Sea, Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Francisco are right around the corner, and Big Sur or Mendocino (opposite directions) could be reached within a day's drive. Whether you want beaches, city, or quiet, remote forest, this area offers all of it! We strongly recommend driving the coast, stopping to visit the countless little towns that dot the coast, and going for some redwood hikes nearby! For example, the drive from Santa Cruz to San Francisco on PCH takes about 2 hours, and you'll pass stunning beaches, lighthouses, and so much breathtaking nature. If you have time for a little extra sightseeing, this is definitely the place to do it!
