An invisible string has connected us since middle school. We first met at a Maiden vs. Jacobs Fork basketball game back in 2009. Over the next few years, we gave each other the silent ‘head nod’ and shared the occasional “OMG, it is so good to see you!” in passing at parties and sporting events. In 2015 we both began our freshmen year at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where visits to the Bears Lair and barefoot trips to get to class were thrown into the mix with football games, fraternity parties, and sorority formals. If you ask Austin, Nina was totally and completely uninterested in any of the Tinder matches or simple, “Let’s go grab a drink” invitations, once even delivering the quote, “Get in line!”. Fast-forward to September 19th, 2020, and we’re standing in line on our first date waiting to get into Wayneo’s Silver Bullet, getting annoyed by some random guy about Austin’s ‘drummer dude’ hair and Nina’s ‘perfect fitting pants’. The rest is history. Not only are we looking forward to celebrating with you all on our wedding day, but we’re also excited to share our 6th anniversary of that first date at the Silver Bullet with everyone!
