Only guests listed on your registry are invited to the Wedding Ceremony and After Party. However, we highly encourage you to bring friends, family and random strangers with you to Paris if it will make your overall trip more enjoyable.
Children over the age of 12 are allowed at the Wedding Ceremony. The After Party is for adults only.
Yes, please provide the necessary information when you RSVP.
There are no special transportation arrangements. Uber is a great way to get around Paris.
Paris is a city made for walking, and we recommend seeing it that way! If you need an Uber, they are available through the app just like at home.
Super easy! We highly recommend taking the metro when walking is too far. It's clean, economical (less than $2 one way- no matter how far and drops in price per ticket if you buy bundles of ten), the most reliable, and it is extremely easy and approachable! If you have questions on your destination, the service people are always there to help. Be sure to download google maps or citymapper, which will tell you exactly which subway to take and exits to get off at!
Be sure to call your service provider (Sprint, Verizon, AT&T) and let them know when and where you're traveling to. They will likely email you a set of directions, or on the phone they'll walk through it with you, on how to enable your phone to work while abroad. Downloading the app Whatsapp can be popular for free texting, as well.
Your hotel may provide a free shuttle. If not, we recommend taking an official taxi cab directly to your accommodations. CDG is the closest airport to downtown and is about a 45 minute taxi ride with a flat $50 to $55 fee.
None! Of course it's courteous to make an effort, but people in all the main tourist areas know English!
First: Contact your bank or credit card company to let them know when and where you're traveling. Second: Be aware of your cards foreign use policies. Most institutions charge a 3% transaction fee, but some institutions like American Express or Charles Swab may not have transaction or ATM fees. Third: You can exchange currency for Euro or use an ATM at the airport to get Euro, although credit cards are widely accepted in most situations in Paris. Finally: If you'd like to have some cash for convenience, you can exchange it for Euro at your local bank ahead of time so you're set once you arrive! Your bank may need a couple of days to provide international currency.
