The charming town of Highlands, NC is a hidden jewel nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest, and situated atop a plateau at an elevation of 4118 feet. Highlands is a very popular destination so please do not wait until the last minute to book accommodations! The town is small with only boutique hotels so it books very fast. Onsite parking is very limited so we strongly encourage all guests to utilize the provided transportation. Note that there are no taxis or ride share services in Highlands, and we want to ensure that everyone can safely return to their hotels following the reception. Round trip transportation will be provided to/from the wedding venue at The Farm with three pick up / drop off locations - 16 Church Street in front of Old Edwards Spa, 200 Main, and Half Mile Farm. Transportation to the wedding venue will start at 3:45 pm EST. The last bus to the wedding venue will be at 4:30 pm. Buses will run in 10-15 minute increments. Buses will depart from the wedding venue and return guests to Half Mile Farm, Old Edwards Inn & Spa, or 200 Main starting as early as 8:00 PM.

Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) ~ 1.5 hour drive Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) ~ 2 hour drive Harstfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) ~ 2.5 hour drive *If you are planning to fly, we highly suggest renting a car from the airport to Highlands, NC. Unfortunately, taxis and ride share services are not available in the Highlands area. A car will be great to have to explore what this mountain town has to offer.
