This is not a regular love story. It is not boy meets girl, boy and girl date, and ultimately they get married. This story started off somewhere between group projects, shared notes, and somewhat casual “want to grab boba?” moments after class (mostly by Thu, of course). Late-night study sessions became less about the assignments and more about the fun we had together, the hysterical laughing fits, and the way our hardships and differences did not matter when we were together. Friendship came first: easy, natural, and steady. We shared small inside jokes, quickly adapted to each other’s routines, and shared unspoken thoughts. There was no rush, no grand realization… just a growing sense that life felt better when the other person was around. And that was all that really mattered. Somewhere along the way in a distant cold city, friendship turned into something deeper. We shared sorrows, navigated through uncertainties, and defied all odds which lead us to today. We grew into partners but not just in love, but in life. Whether it was competing over claw machines at Round 1, wandering through Disneyland hand in hand, or spending weekends discovering new cafés and restaurants, every moment became an adventure simply because we were together. Our story does not stem from one singular moment but was built from a thousand small ones. From classmates to best friends to soulmates, we built something lasting: a love rooted in friendship, strengthened by laughter, and carried forward by a shared drive to love each other until the very end.
