Your RSVP will make organizing our wedding much easier. We are expecting a very large crowd from all over the state, country, and world. We are so excited for this! We are overjoyed at the thought of getting married to one another and sharing this day with you! That said, organizing a crowd this large can be challenging- so knowing if you're able to make it or if you won't be able to (though we would love to have you there) helps us organize seating, food, beverages, etc. We ask that you please, please RSVP.
We have made a few recommendations to facilitate travel in the "Travel" section of our website. However, we understand that there are plenty of other places that may be appealing to you if you're visiting from out of state or out of the country, such as spending some time in San Francisco or even in the Napa Valley Wine Country. The San Francisco Bay Area is a vibrant region in Northern California known for its iconic landmarks, diverse cultures, and stunning natural beauty. With such a diverse place it is important to note that there are places that are very safe and also other places not advisable for tourists. We encourage you to do research or ask us about specific areas, because as with many other large urban metropolitan areas petty theft and crime can be an issue, depending on the particular area. If you have a vehicle it is generally not advisable to leave valuables in the car. Please also note that there are areas where it is easier to take public buses, trains or a ferry, and where it is generally not advisable to have a vehicle at all due to high levels of congestion, difficulties finding parking, and also petty theft from vehicles. We encourage you to venture out from our list of recommendations but to keep in mind that transportation by vehicle is most ideal for the wedding day. If you choose not to hire a car the rideshare apps that best serve this area are Uber and Lyft.
The Ceremony will take place on May 10, 2025, 2pm at: Saint Basil the Great Catholic Church 1200 Tuolumne St, Vallejo, CA. 94590 https://maps.app.goo.gl/C7XKVYEoj13NZB3o8 The Reception will follow at 4pm and take place at: Dan Foley Cultural Center Main Hall 1499 N Camino Alto, Vallejo, CA. 94589 https://maps.app.goo.gl/J8vqrdbjPyocy5ir9
While the Bay Area is known for the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) train system, this part of the Bay Area does not have this option available and other public transit options are not advisable. There is a Ferry from Pier 1 (Ferry Building in San Francisco) should you want to stay in San Francisco and take the Ferry there, however, you will have to take ride share back if you plan to return late night. Unfortunately, hiring a car is the best way to get around. We encourage you to carpool as best you can.
Yes, there is ample parking available in parking lots or on the street. The venue, however, has a parking fee for their parking lot of $6 per vehicle, so we encourage carpooling.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors. The reception is located in a park which is enjoyable to explore. The venue also has a large deck if you would like some fresh air. We recommend bringing a coat, as the weather can be unpredictable in the Bay Area. It will get cold at night.
Please check out "Things To Do" section of the wedding website. We have laid out a schedule of things to do leading up to the wedding. While we won't be able to guarantee that we will be there, we will make every effort to, and generally hope that our guests can go out and spend some time together on these day trips crafted by Nilo. Special thanks to Diana's sister Blanca for organizing the recommendations and putting them onto our website! :)
